Samurai Cop Self-Defense Academy - The Academy offers classes in self-defense for kids 5 years to 17 years of age.

The goal of the Samurai Cop Academy is to provide practical self defense training for the youth in our communities. The courses are designed to help increase the students self confidence level while learning to arm themselves with the knowledge and personal skills needed to be better prepared to face a physical confrontation.

In 1990, Kancho Gozo Shioda of the International Yoshinkan Aikido Federation named Shuyokan as part of the IYAF. This was the first dojo in the United States to be so designated, and the second in the world.

During a visit to the United Sates, his son Yasuhisa Shioda personally presented the documentation to Sensei Dye.

Sensei Dye was named as the Shodai Soke of Shuyokan Ryu on
April 7, 2000 by the World Professional Black Belt Martial Arts Organization, Olohe Solomon Kaihewalu, Grandmaster.

Masters Hall of Fame - Sensei Dye is the Public Relations Director for the Masters Hall Of Fame Awards and Seminars held each year since 2000 in Newport Beach, California.

Sensei Dye is a member of the International Network of Christian Martial Artists whose goal is to create a unity between all Christian martial artists from all over the world, regardless of style.

The Latin Dragon, starring Shuyokan student Fabian Carrillo, with co-stars Gary Busey and Lorenzo Lamas.

Fabian Carrillo started training with Sensei Dye in the early 1990's. In the movie, Fabian uses Yoshinkan Aikido techniques that he had learned under the direct instruction and training with Sensei Dye. Sensei Dye was also on location during the filming of one of the major fight scenes in which Fabian has to take on numerous gang members inside a house using an array of martial arts techniques, including Aikido.
